Trauma Therapy & EMDR for Adults in New Jersey & Pennsylvania

Reclaim Your Future.

Move Beyond Your Past.

You may understand why you feel the way you do—yet your body still reacts as if the past is happening now.

That’s not because you haven’t done enough insight work.
It’s because trauma lives in the nervous system, not just memory.

I provide trauma-informed therapy and EMDR for adults in NJ & PA who want relief that goes deeper than talking—and feels safe, paced, and collaborative.

When Insight Isn’t Enough

Many people who seek EMDR therapy are thoughtful, self-aware, and highly capable.

And still, they may notice:

  • Replaying memories or emotional reactions they can’t fully control

  • Feeling emotionally flooded—or completely numb

  • Overthinking, people-pleasing, or staying on constant alert

  • Strong reactions in relationships, even when they “know better”

  • Feeling disconnected from themselves or others

What Is EMDR Therapy?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based trauma therapy that helps the brain and body process experiences that are still stored as unresolved stress.

Rather than talking about the past over and over, EMDR helps your nervous system reprocess memories so they no longer feel present or overwhelming.

EMDR may be a good fit if you:

  • Struggle with anxiety, trauma, or attachment wounds

  • Feel “high-functioning” but internally stuck or exhausted

  • Experience intrusive thoughts, emotional triggers, or body-based reactions

  • Have tried talk therapy but still feel something is missing

EMDR doesn’t erase memories.
It changes how they live inside you—so you can remember without being relived by them.

EMDR Is Never Rushed — Safety Comes First

Before any trauma processing begins, we spend time building a foundation of safety, trust, and stability.

In my practice, EMDR is attachment-informed and consent-based.

We focus on:

  • Emotional safety — Creating a therapeutic space where you feel supported and in control

  • Grounding and regulation — Strengthening your ability to return to the present

  • Pacing and consent — You are never pushed faster than your system is ready for

What EMDR Can Help You Achieve

Together, we work to ensure your past no longer controls your present. Through this work, you can experience:

  • Less activation when thinking about the past.

  • Reduced anxiety, shame, and chronic self-doubt.

  • Fewer emotional triggers in your daily life.

  • Responding calmly in relationships instead of reacting from old wounds.

  • Feeling more present, grounded, and truly like yourself again.
